- we use on the corner when referring to an open space does have no significant dimensions(the height, length and
- width)like street road,..... but we use in the corner when referring to a closed space with significant dimontions like room

I think the second one is correct.
the first one is fishy i guess since;
1- as far as i know we hardly ever use lose in continuous way. like the verbs love, hate, know,... and
2- always is an adverb of frequency and we do not use it in present continuous actions

you are completely right we use Frequency Adverbs in Simple Tenses but we can use them in ContinuousTenses when we complaining about bad habit or situation
the first sentence referring to a bad habit of object (he) butin tthe second sentence we talk about typical habit so the first sentence is complain sentence and as true as the second thanks
